In the social sector, the fact that more and more people are living longer is very likely to result in a significant increase in the demand for labour, for example in the areas of nursing and elderly care. If the Childcare Act has the desired effect, this will also lead to an increased demand for staff, for example in daycare centres. The need to retain well-trained skilled workers in the company for as long as possible is a logical consequence of the problem described above. When recruiting new staff, it is already noticeable that the comfortable situation of being able to choose from several good applicants is a thing of the past. The opposite is becoming increasingly apparent: good skilled workers are choosing their employers. In the near future, it will be important for companies to differentiate themselves positively from their competitors. Since this will only be possible to a limited extent or not at all in the grant-funded sector, for example, other conditions will very likely have to make the difference.
