Margarita Chavez is a passionate author and educator based in Atlanta, Georgia. With over seven years of teaching experience, she has dedicated her career to inspiring young minds and fostering a love for reading. Margarita is a proud mother of two and is currently pursuing her Master's in Early Education at Grand Canyon University.As an indie writer, she has authored more than ten children's books, focusing on themes of identity, kindness, and emotional well-being. Her works aim to help children navigate their feelings and encourage meaningful conversations between parents and caregivers. In addition to her storytelling, Margarita creates valuable resources for new teachers, providing them with questions and lesson ideas to enhance reading comprehension and engagement in the classroom.Margarita draws from her own experiences as a woman of mixed heritage, with an Irish mother and Afro-Cuban father, to create relatable characters and narratives. Her upcoming projects include titles like Embrace Your Stripes, which addresses bullying and identity, and Pauline the Pirate from Puerto Rico, a delightful tale of adventure and joy.Through her writing, Margarita seeks to cultivate independent learners and inspire children to embrace their uniqueness while connecting with others.
