Harold Ray Darling (1932-2016) was better known by his pen name Welleran Poltarnees. Author, founder of numerous bookstores and publishing companies, book collector, and image collector nonpareil, Darling made books for more than forty years. It was his life’s work to share his large library of vintage children’s books and paper ephemera with the world. Darling lived in both San Diego and Seattle.
Sandra Darling and her husband, Harold Darling, established Green Tiger Press in 1970. She now lives in Seattle, Washington, where she has a ten-thousand-book library that is primarily filled with illustrated children's books.
