"Shirtless in Hollywood is a must read for even casual fans of Matthias Hues giving some insight behind the scenes of his most popular films as well as the competitive nature of the action movie business. It's filled with tall tales that you wouldn't believe if they were made up but as the saying goes truth is stranger than fiction and sometimes more entertaining."
- The Action Elite

"Shirtless in Hollywood is a fun, fast-paced and highly entertaining read!"
- Arrow in the Head.com

German actor, bodybuilder, martial artist, and action icon Matthias Hues has racked up over 70 screen credits in his thirty-plus years in the entertainment industry, with the villainous alien that antagonizes Dolph Lundgren in the sci-fi action classic I COME IN PEACE being his most popular role to date.

Just sit back and enjoy a first-hand look into Hue's Hollywood, a world of glitter, power, fame, and fortune. It's a world where serious and talented artists flock in from around the world with dreams of making it to the top. A world that he lives in which is barely separated and yet vastly shared with hustlers, con artists, and wannabes.

Matthias Hues was born in Waltrop, Germany in 1959. He worked as a bodybuilder and owned a health club in his hometown in Germany before immigrating to Hollywood in 1986. He made a name for himself in action movies with his distinctive muscle-bound frame and long blonde hair, and he survived his early days working in Gold's Gym in Venice, CA. He had a series of ups and downs in a colorful acting career which is brilliantly outlined in this memoir.

Today, Matthias Hues still stars in action movies and he has added writing and producing films to his list of accomplishments.
