The late Ainslie Meares, MD DPM was an eminent Australian psychiatrist who made major contributions to hypnosis. The author is Owen Bruhn, BSc Hons, Grad Diplomas in Occup Hygiene and Ergonomics, Accredited SMT Teacher, Member Meditation Australia, Primal Blueprint and Posture Alignment coach. Bruhn met Dr Meares in 1984 and attended his meditation classes over the course of that year. He trained much later, with Pauline McKinnon, who taught him to teach Meares' method, after an injury in 2011. The author is Owen Bruhn. Bruhn met Dr Meares in 1984 and attended his meditation classes over the course of that year. He trained much later, with Pauline McKinnon, who taught him to teach Meares' method, after an injury in 2011. Bruhn has several decades experience as a health practitioner working the public and private sector. He is also a Primal Blueprint and postural alignment coach.
