Brian Helstrom (BA, BSc, MSc, Ph.D.) studied Psychology, Philosophy, Computer Science, and Human Interaction at Brock University and Guelph University. Recognized as a consulting expert and thought leader, Helstrom had a successful consulting career spanning twenty-five years which posted him around the globe with businesses from the Financial, Energy, Transportation, and Media sectors. Throughout his career, he obtained many levels of accreditation, including Distinguished IT Architect, Certified Consultant, Executive Consultant, Master IT Specialist, Information Systems Professional, IT Certified Professional and more. After his marriage of twenty-two years ended, he dated for twenty-four years seeking his soulmate. In Ready, Reset, Mate, Helstrom set out to capture the lessons he has learned as a layman and to hone a process for finding the right person in a new dating ethos dominated by social media and dating apps.
Helstrom lives in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, and has three sons and three grandchildren.
