Like the major African metropolises, Dakar faces real transportation problems despite the many efforts made by the Senegalese government to make the country an attractive area. Since the colonial era until today, the political powers have encountered several problems in meeting the transport needs of the Senegalese. To circumvent these difficulties, they used the informal sector in 1945, 1990 and in the 2000s, observing that informal transport contributes massively to air pollution, they decided to replace the traditional buses (rapid buses and Ndiaga Ndiaye) with new buses to fill the transport gap without success. To solve this deficit, we have put in place an action plan to provide the population of Dakar with a good quality transport sector.
