The Girl is a tale that tells two stories.
It is first a tale about the struggle between two sets of brothers and how their lives intersect. The second is a tale of a girl born with immeasurable magic to fulfill a prophecy that will affect these brothers in a way they never imagined. In a world where magic is real and power absolute, can this young girl make the right choice between evil and good?
Just as Merck reluctantly received the mantle of reign from his father, Oman has found himself to be the leader of the Jogahoh. Their lives are in turmoil as each of their siblings vie for control of their land. In the midst of their conflict, a magical child is born, a girl called Anong. An ancient witch who recognizes her for what she is and makes the decision to have her raised with love and kindness. For that, she needs to bring Anong to Oman.
Oman and his wife, Jossa, raise Anong as one of their own, defying their people and laws meant to keep outsiders from their land. But fate has now intervened; Anong's power is recognized, and she is kidnapped by Merck's brother, Tibalt. Tibalt's sorcerer will take Anong's power and use it not for his king but for himself, as her power is all-encompassing. Will she have the strength to stop him?
