Über den Autor / die Autorin
J.J. Johnson is the creative force and founding partner of Sinking Ship Entertainment. He is a four-time Emmy-winning executive producer, three-time Emmy-winning director, CSA and WGC award-winning writer, and best-selling author. J.J. has created over 17 series including
Dino Dana and
Annedroids (Amazon Prime),
Endlings (Hulu), and the
Ghostwriter reboot (AppleTV+). Most recently he created
Lockdown (YouTube Originals), a teen mystery series which was shot exclusively on webcams and cell phones during the Covid-19 crisis. Upcoming originals include
Jane (AppleTV+), an environmental action-adventure series produced alongside the Jane Goodall Institute. J.J. actively lends his perspective within the media industry, academia, and beyond. He has co-authored multiple academic papers, and has been a guest speaker at organizations such as the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, the International Communication Association, and the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva. He is also the co-chair of the Youth Media Alliance.

Jane's Animal Field Guide will be engaging the Jane audience to complete the experience beyond the show and learn more about the amazing creatures they are seeing in the series, which will launch simultaneously with the launch of the book. Jane the series is a new mission-driven series for kids and families from Sinking Ship Entertainment and the Jane Goodall Institute.
The book will be promoted alongside the roll out of the companion Museum Experience premiering in two major US markets in April 2023.
The authors' existing brand Dino Dana has a large audience cross over and the Jane books will be promoted to that engaged audience as well.
Press interest for the series will be high (the announcement of the series was picked up by Deadline, Variety, and Hollywood Reporter). The book will be mentioned in some interviews about the series.
The Jane Goodall Institute is a partner in the series and in the book and information about the book and series will be shared with their global mailing lists.
