Sport and the Environment

This volume examines sport's relationship with the environment in the context of the ongoing climate crisis. Contributors examine how sport is implicated in environmentally damaging activities,how decisions are made about how to respond to environmental issues, who benefits most and least from these decisions.

Über den Autor / die Autorin

Brian Wilson is a Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Director of the Centre for Sport and Sustainability at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is co-author of The Greening of Golf (2016), author of Sport and Peace (2012), and co-editor of Sport and Physical Culture in Canadian Society (2020).
Brad Millington is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Brock University, Canada. His research examines sport, health, and physical activity, with a particular focus on sport's relationship with the environment and on health and fitness technologies. He is co-author of The Greening of Golf (2016) and author of Fitness, Technology & Society (2018).
