The earth is sick and so are we! Revealing title borrowed from a fifth grader. I find it very accurate because it reflects exactly the alarming situation of our environment today, something that emphasizes the relationship of man and the earth we live on. Title that warns us. The earth is us. If it is sick, it is because we are sick too. It is because of us that it is sick. The anthology of ecological poetry that I propose in this book is intended as a reminder of the danger that threatens both man and the planet. It is also an alert in poetic form to act before it is too late. Here are some poems from different times. They have in common a simple evocation of nature and trees especially. They are not necessarily poems written especially for the environment but they can be part of an ecological poetry. I have also inserted graphic shots of trees in black and white to try to imagine artistically the state and condition in which they are. Finally, it is a book addressed to education related to ecology.
