Sinclair Sexsmith (they/them) is “the best-known butch erotica writer whose kinky, groundbreaking stories have turned on countless queers” (AfterEllen), who “is in all the books, wins all the awards, speaks at all the panels and readings, knows all the stuff, and writes for all the places” (Autostraddle). Their short story collection, Sweet & Rough: Queer Kink Erotica, was a 2016 finalist for a Lambda Literary Award, and they are the current editor of the Best Lesbian Erotica series. This is the 6th volume of the Best Lesbian Erotica of the Year series, and it is also Sexsmith's third year in a row as the editor. This particular volume will feature representations of queer women, non-binary folks, trans women, and a variety of #Ownvoices viewpoints that are not as frequently seen in erotica. Tales will include characters representing the more marginalized among us when it comes to ability, race, ethnicity, class, neurodiversity, sexuality, age, and religion.
The sex acts portrayed in each story will include, but are not limited to, themes such as “Vanilla,” BDSM, fetish, ace, and all kinds of sensual and sexual expression, as well as a variety of sexual identities: mommy, mistress, sir, puppy, girl, servant, etc.
