These stories you are about to read have been created under many different circumstances. I hope, therefore, each one comes across as unique and entertaining and you'll continue to think about the characters, the story and the authors, well after you finish reading.

Before each story most authors have included notes that you may find interesting. None of them give away the ending, but some do give you an idea of the thought process behind the work. If you prefer not to be informed about the "behind the scenes" creative side, feel free to skip over each one.

You'll also find that each heading has the word CHAPTER. It is not a next chapter, but a separate story. The word chapter was included to help with the automatic chapter numbering generated on your reader.

There are four themes for the stories which have been created through story competitions over the last one-plus years (2018). You'll also find a few different genres within these pages. Each is enjoyable in their own way.

It is the authors' hope that you enjoy all the stories and go on to tell friends of the ones you enjoyed the most. Feel free to look the authors up online and let them know your thoughts too.

Über den Autor / die Autorin

From an early age, Mat has used a keyboard as the instrument of his expression. His range is broad, from the chilling, to the obscure, to fan fiction, to thought provoking, to children's and YA, and a not too small amount of speculative fiction. Yet, his main area of interest has always been the thriller genre
