Two marines, James Robert "Buddy" Patton and Alvin Jerome "A.J" Mack are thrust into a test of survival during the chaos of combat during World War II. They are forced to trust each other through one heated night of fighting in order to live another day. Neither men could have imagined the bond that would be formed for a lifetime through their selfless actions that day. Both are men of honor but want nothing more than to put the war behind them and begin the process of making peace with the world and living the life they choose.
This is a story of personal commitment, of being dedicated to family, trusting the word of a brother and staying true to your beliefs, but above all, it is a story of love, unconditional love for the things that matter the most. Both Buddy and A.J have their share of individual adversity but in the end, they show others that together, there is no obstacle they cannot overcome and that the brotherly bonds of love cannot be broken by the audacity of hate.
