Über den Autor / die Autorin

María Santana-Gallego, PhD, is Associate Professor at the Applied Economics Department at the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain. Her research interests include international economics and tourism economics. She has published in journals such as Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, World Economy and Economic Modelling.
ShiNa Li, PhD, is Professor, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China and a Visiting Professor at Leeds Beckett University, UK. Her research interests include tourism economics, sustainable development, tourism geography, events and tourism in China. She has published in journals such as Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research, and Tourism Management.

Zusammenfassung

This book focuses upon evaluating the impact of terrorism political conflicts and other types of instability on the tourism sector and considers the practical implications for countries of being adversely affected by these episodes. The chapters originally published in a special issue in the Journal of Policy Research in Tourism, Leisure & Events.
