Malheureusement je dois le dire, la comparaison ne sera pas favorable à Goyaz ce pauvre pays si longtemps livré à une administration presque tou jours imprévoyante, souvent spoliatrice et je trou verai plus de différence encore, quand je comparerai la partie orientale de Minas Geraes avec la partie tout à fait occidentale qui en général a été peuplée par le rebut,des comarcas les plus anciennes.
