Vorwort

Shelley Neese is a part of the Jerusalem Connection group (it is a firmly established proIsrael advocacy organization with 10,000 loyal followers and dozens of organizational partnerships) which she plans to utilize for the promotion of her book, The Copper Scroll Project. Shelley Neese and Jim Barfield (the subject of the book) have a marketing plan for future book promotion. They both have volumes of video footage and photographs available from research trips to Israel. Considering the visual nature of most social media platforms, the use of photo documentation from The Copper Scroll Project will be critical for reaching potential readers on social media platforms. After the book’s release, Shelley and Jim will roll out exclusive photographs from the suspected locations of Copper Scroll treasures and photo evidence from a past excavation at Qumran. They will build photo galleries on their websites, sharing them on social media. For YouTube, Jim hired an expert videographer to create a three-minute book trailer to draw attention and potential readers. As a marketing tool, the trailer will link directly to a landing page for purchasing the book. The book trailer and the exclusive photography will be used to create a viral response on the various social media platforms.
Shelley has formed strong connections at the newly opened Museum of the Bible in Washington DC. As part of the speaker series and educational platform, Shelley is working with the education director and marketing director to release The Copper Scroll Project at the Museum of the Bible on October 2, 2018. She also is also submitting The Copper Scroll Project for the Jewish Book Council’s author network. Shelley and Jim are avid public speakers and will use their experience as such for future promotions. They will also use their weekly video blogs, growing email list of 9,000, The Jerusalem Connection Facebook following of 3,201, and The Copper Scroll Project Facebook following of 2,205 for the promotion of The Copper Scroll Project.
