Voi, che si profondamente conoscete, e si gen tilmente ne' vostri scritti sapete usare della puris sima e graziosissima nostra lingua, che nello studio dei Toscani Maestri avete con si fine giudizio at tinta, Voi, dico, pmteggerete coll' autorità vostra mo che io m'ingegno di sostenere di tutta mia forza nel dialogo preliminare di questo Saggio, che cioè il Volgare Toscano come si parla cm da quel popolo fin'vilegiato, si è puro com' egli era in antica.
