Jean Granier mourut à Montpellier le 15 septembre 1607, des suites d'une maladie contractée pendant un voyage à Tou louse, où l'avait appelé ce procès avec son chapitre qui se termina par l'arrêt du Parlement, relatif à l'église Notre - Dame des Tables, que nous avons mentionné plus haut.
