SE le Poesie del nostro Autore furono avi damente studiate ed imitate; io vorrei che avvenisse lo stesso delle sue Prose, che sono quasi sconosciute, ma che non la cedono alle Poesie in originalità forza, nobiltà leggiadria ed in quella facilità e naturalezza che Spesso si desiderano nei nostri Prosatori. Sarà egli tanto più utile questo studio quanto che la corruttela d' ogniinaniera, e spezialmente la leziosaggine oltramontana de turpano oggidi quasi tutte le scritture pro saiobe Italiane; quando all' opposto vantiamo in Italia molti illustri Poeti viventi, ed un sincero Buongusto poetico, che si va felice mente tra noi propaganda.
