The briefer notations [aijjg (aij), are also often used for Moreover. It is common to use a single letter, such as A9 for a matrix. The enclosure symbols which we shall ordinarily employ in this book will be square brackets, unless a matrix has only one row or one column. Such a matrix is called a row matrixg or a column matrixg as the case may be.
