At Ely and Worcester every misericord has been specially photo graphed for this volume by Mr G. E. Tyndall and Mr C B. Shuttleworth respectively; and complete sets of photographs have been contributed of the misericords at Gloucester and Ripple by_mr R. W. Dugdale, of those in Chichester cathedral by Mr P. M. Johnston, of those in Chester cathedral by Mr F. H. Crossley, of those in Beverley Minster and St Mary's church by Mr C. Goulding, Rev. W. E. Wigfall, and Mr f.,h. Crossley, and of those in Exeter cathedral by various friends.
