So far Hagiology in general had been dealt with, but it ned interesting also to inquire how far local Hagiology eed with or differed from it; test counties, therefore, were mined for the purpose, and the results are given in Chapter 'i. A comparison also has been made of the popularity of its as shown in church dedications, and as shown in church 5 and calendars the calendars of Bede and Sarum are given ength. Also a chapter is added on the consecration services hurches in Celtic, anglo-saxon, and mediaeval times.
