Joanna Karpowicz (born on July 27, 1976 in Krakow) - prolific author of comics, painter, illustrator. A graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts - a diploma with distinction in the studio of prof. Leszek Misiak. In her works she bases only on traditional painting techniques. Her favorite technique is acrylic on canvas and on paper. Author of a painting series with the figure of Anubis. Had many solo exhibitions in Cracow as well as being featured on exhibitions in Cracow's National Museum, Polin - Museum of History of Polish Jews, Warsaw, Arsenal Gallery, Poznan as well as abroad in Budapest, Riga and Kaunas.
Zusammenfassung
There's a mystery in each of these intriguing paintings, pulling you into their depths. The figure of Anubis seems to be an outsider waiting to participate in each painting's story - like yourself as an observer of the image.
