Based in France for the last 14 years, J C Jeremy Hobson nowadays lives in Hampshire. A professional freelance writer, author and journalist for almost two decades, he has, nevertheless, written books and articles for far longer. His first published article appeared in 1976, and his first book ten years later. Jeremy's subject matter is generally rural-based and, over the years, he has written of field-sports; farming; smallholding; chicken-keeping; working dogs, and his experience of living in France. This is his fourth book for Quiller; the others including

Bryn Parry is a best selling cartoonist and a co-founder of the Help for Heroes charity. Bryn's wicked sense of humour portrays the vast array of characters that can be found in the shooting field.
