Née en 1899, première Française océanographe, seule femme à avoir accompagné les légendaires terre-neuvas, embarquée à bord des dragueurs de mines pendant la dernière guerre, chargée du développement des pêches traditionnelles en Afrique de l'Ouest, Anita Conti relate dans son plus beau livre un demi-siècle d'aventures et de recherches en mer.
