In recent years, profound changes have affected the way people view the role of religion and spirituality in the life cycle. For many people, spirituality, always considered an essential part of religion, has become an interest no longer tied to organized religion. This book addresses the evolving relationship of spirituality to religion in our time, and the consequences of this change for understanding personality development. Über den Autor / die Autorin

The Author: James Gollnick is Professor of Psychology of Religion at St. Paul¿s College, University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He received his Ph.D. in psychology of religion from the University of Toronto, Canada, and certification in psychotherapy from the International Gestalt Association. In addition to numerous articles in professional journals and a monograph on Anselm of Canterbury, he is the author of Dreams in the Psychology of Religion, Love and the Soul: Psychological Interpretations of the Eros and Psyche Myth and The Religious Dreamworld of Apuleius¿ Metamorphoses.
