On the Design of High Performance Data Center Networks

This book provides a comprehensive survey on the important role network has to play in the cloud computing ecosystem, as well as an in-depth study on the fundamental design principles and infrastructures for current and future generation data center networks. In particular, it puts a special focus on how to effectively support cloud computing applications that rely on group communication by incorporating multicast capability into data center networks. Zhiyang Guo received the BEng degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China, in 2008, and the PhD degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Stony Brook University, New York in 2014. His research interests include Big Data Infrastructure, Data center networks, Software defined networking and Optical Communication.
