This book provides an up-to-date synthesis of the
Pre-Mesozoic Geology in France (Armorican and Central
Massifs) and Related Areas (Aquitaine Basin, Vosges,
Provence, Pyrenees, Western Alps, Corsica and Sardinia). The
geological record is systematically presented, covering
seismic reflection, gravity and magnetic data, stratigraphy,
paleontology, structure, metamorphism, igneous activity and
metallogeny. It is the most up-to-date English summary by
French scientists, providing access to the vast literature
on the topic mainly written in French. As such, it should be
of great interest to an international audience.
