The Berliner Philharmoniker celebrates it's Founding Day (May 10, 1892) every year in a different European city. This year, using the baton of acclaimed Latvian conductor Mariss Janssons, they traveled to Paphos, the birthplace of Aphrodite, to the site of a medieval castle where they brought their glorious sounds to a sold-out crowd of more than 1, 500. Includes interpretations of Weber's Clarinet Concerto, featuring the talents of clarinettist, Andreas Ottensamer, Dvorak's 8th Symphony, which concluded the program, and much more. 2017/color/approx. 90 min/NR/widescreen.
