Lonnie Shields was a 'new generation' bluesman who, at the time, was poised to be one of the next big names. This was then Lonnie's only ever English gig, and what better place than The 100 Club - the London home of blues music for several decades. Lonnie's a serious artist but is also a consummate showman and natural frontman. With a tight band that Otis Grand put together this was a terrific show and Blues Archive were there to capture a moment in time.
