Later that same year, he returned with another standout 12", this time collaborating with production outfit T-Coy and the iconic Mike Pickering, resident DJ at the legendary Haçienda. The result was Dream 17, released under the project name Annette. While not quite as commercially celebrated as Voodoo Ray, Dream 17 is a cult classic - a rich synthesis of Madchester's euphoric rave energy and the raw, jackin' grooves born in Chicago's underground clubs.
