In the fairytale adventure 'The Princess Bride', a young boy falls ill and is read a bedtime story by his visiting grandfather. The story is a classic tale of love and adventure as the beautiful Buttercup is kidnapped and held against her will in order to marry the odious Prince Humperdinck. Her childhood beau Westley, now known as the Dread Pirate Roberts, attempts to save her. On the way he meets an accomplished swordsman, a super strong giant and a few bad guys to rescue Princess Buttercup.

    Horror? Das isch eine vo de genialschte Märli- und Abentürfilm, en Kultfilm us de 80er, wo in Europa zu Unrecht völlig unbekannt isch. Nur scho wäg em Bill Murray und em Wallace Shawn s'Gäld wert. Chönt ich hundert mal luege. As you wish... Inconceivable!

    Ich habe den Film vor kurzem auf Tele5 gesehen, früher noch nie komischerweise er war mir nicht bekannt.

    Der Film ist wirklich wundervoll.

    Westley, der Mann aller Träume.
    Wahnsinnsfilm, Hut ab.

    Ich habe diesen Film mit 12 das 1. Mal gesehen und mich absolut in Westley verknallt:-)! Meine Mitschülerinnen lachten mich allerdings nur so lange aus, bis sie ihn auch gesehen hatten...hehe;-)!

    Diesen Film könnte ich immer und immer wieder mir anschauen, nie würde er langweilig werden...

    Alles wurde bereits angeschnitten unten von meinen Vorrednern, so dass ich nur noch ein "ausgezeichnet" anbringen kann. :-)

    Ich liebe diesen Film! Kenne ihn doch jetzt schon wackere 12-15 Jahre und könnte ihn immer wieder schauen. Das Schöne daran ist, dass er (der Film) erst so richtig Spass macht, wenn man ihn mehr als nur einmal anschaut. Dann könnten einige Begriffe wie Ratten von ausgewöhnlicher Grösse kurz RVAG's beinahe Kultstatus erlangen. Und ich stimme der Meinung zu, dass dieser Film auch vor allem für Erwachsene geeignet ist. Aber man und frau muss Kitsch mögen...!

    Sorry, Jungs, aber die Braut des Prinzen ist wirklich kein Horror-Film! Stattdessen ist es eine wundervolle Märchensatire. Nicht nur für die Kleinen, sondern auch (oder vor allem sogar) für die Grossen. Ein Film über die "wahre Liebe" -nimmt aber diesen Kitsch auch auf die Schippe
