The cast of a late '70s sci-fi TV show (Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shaloub, Daryl Mitchell), long since reduced to store openings and fan conventions, gets an unexpected job when they're recruited by aliens who thought the broadcasts were "historical documents" to help save their planet from invasion.

Twenty years after cancellation, the stars of the Galaxy Quest television series cling to their careers appearing at sci-fi conventions and electronic store openings. When a distressed interstellar race mistakes the show for "historical documents," Jason Nesmith (Tim Allen) and his crew of has-beens are unwittingly recruited to save them from a genocidal warlord.

    Super film! Totaler Kitsch und Hollywood pur, aber voll unterhaltsam und niemals langweilig! Könnte mir den film immer und immer wieder ankucken!

    Dieser Film ist ganz lustig und sicher auch für Kinder geeignet.

    Persönlich finde ich aber die Clique Kirk und Co. in ihren Strumpfhosen und farbigen Pullies noch lustiger ;-)

    Galaxy Quest ist eine versteckte Hommage an Star Trek und seine Trekkies.
    Der schräge Humor von Tim Allen und Alan Rickman macht aus der soliden Geschichte eine gute Komödie.
