Informationen zum Autor James Morwood was an Emeritus Fellow of Wadham College, Oxford, UK, after seventeen years as Head of Classics at Harrow School. He is the author of 17 books, including The Plays of Euripides and Writing Latin , also published by Bloomsbury. Katharine Radice teaches Classics at the Stephen Perse Foundation, UK. She is a regular speaker at Classics conferences on the methodology of effective Latin teaching. She is an experienced examiner and has co-authored recent A Level editions of Ovid (Bloomsbury Academic, 2011), Cicero (Bloomsbury Academic, 2013) and Tacitus (Bloomsbury Academic, 2016). Stephen Anderson was for many years Head of Classics at Winchester College, UK, and is now Rodewald Lector in Classical Languages at New College, University of Oxford, UK. He is co-author of a number of textbooks, including Advanced Latin (Bloomsbury Academic, 2009), Writing Greek (Bloomsbury Academic, 2011) and OCR Anthology for Classical Greek, AS & A-Level 2019-21 (Bloomsbury Academic, 2018). Klappentext "Key to Advanced Latin" provides answers to the exercises that form a substantial part of our new Latin language textbook, "Advanced Latin: Materials for A2 and Pre-U", which is being published simultaneously (ISBN 9781853997297). These exercises consist of: 24 translation/comprehension exercises, based on passages taken predominantly from Livy, Caesar and Ovid. These match exactly the requirements of A2, but the passages work equally well as unseen for those working towards Pre-U. Six further passages are offered for unseen translation only, and finally there are 12 passages of continuous prose for translation into Latin.
