Carman is an assistant professor of political science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she teaches in the Master's of Public Administration program and serves as the advisor and coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Kimberly A. Fredericks is an assistant professor of management and director of the Health Services Administration program at the Sage Colleges.
