Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is widely considered to be the greatest American architect of all time; indeed, his work virtually ushered in the modern era and remains highly influential. Made in cooperation with the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives in Taliesin, Arizona, this title presents a collection that examines Wright's life and work.

Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer lernte im Jahr 1949 unter Frank Lloyd Wright an dessen Architekturschule in Taliesin. Er verbrachte das Jahr 1957 in Paris, wo er für fünf Monate die Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts besuchte. Pfeiffer kehrte im Jahr 1958 nach Taliesin zurück und führte seine Ausbildung unter Wright bis zu dessen Tod im Jahr 1959 fort. Er blieb in Taliesin und ist auch heute noch dort. Er ist Direktor der Frank Lloyd Wright Archives und Vize-Präsident der Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. Pfeiffer hat zahlreiche Publikationen über Wrights Leben und Arbeit verfasst und herausgegeben.
