With the help of her husband, and an assortment of children, in-laws, and grandchildren, Mrs. Garrison grows large numbers of shrubs, flowers, herbs, and vegetables on the grounds surrounding their 100-year-old farmhouse. Her early career as a newspaper reporter quickly turned to homemaking, but she has continued to write periodically on a variety of subjects.
