Conduction is the transfer of energy from the more energetic particles of a substance to the adjacent less energetic ones as a result of interaction between the particles. This subject has a vast application ranging from biological systems to common household appliances, residential buildings, industrial processes, and electronic devices. This book will be of great help to students interested in taking up research work in the field of heat conduction. The completion of basic courses in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Calculus is desirable prior to taking up Heat Conduction.
