Mister Everywhere is a vivid, globe-spanning portrait of Pierre Rissient-talent scout, filmmaker, producer, cinephile nonpareil-told in his own words. In these conversations with
Le Monde critic Samuel Blumenfeld, Rissient reflects on a life lived entirely for cinema: from his days with the Mac-Mahon group in 1950s Paris to his rediscovery of forgotten masters, championing of Asian filmmakers, and behind-the-scenes shaping of careers from Clint Eastwood to Jane Campion. At once a personal memoir and a secret history of twentieth-century film culture, the book captures Rissient's fierce intelligence, boundless passion and unmistakable voice-sharp, generous and gloriously opinionated. With a foreword by Clint Eastwood and a preface by Bertrand Tavernier.
