To Be Announced - A Book of Poetic Musings

This collection of poetry is a mixture of rhyming and non-rhyming works, with themes ranging from personal experiences-'The Longest Walk' and 'Celestial Rose'-to speculative fiction-'And The Birds Began to Die'-to the world's first narrative poem about an urban legend (I think). I also experimented with different forms, such as villanelles and sonnets. To be honest, I can't decide on a personal favorite style, so I included a little of all of them. I hope you find them enjoyable.

Michael A Schafer born in Pittsburgh PA, was transplanted to the Mississippi Gulf Coast at the age of nine. He has lived in Biloxi, Gulfport, and now lives a little North in Hattiesburg MS, with his wife Cindy, their cats Miss Iva, Princess Luna, Watermelon and their dog Cookie.
Michael is a poet, a writer of stories both fiction and nonfiction, a singer-songwriter, a bird lover, a fan of film noir, sci-fi, fantasy and Disney.
