Ulteriori informazioni

This book compiles cutting-edge research from the 2025 International Conference on Mechanical Transmission (ICMT 2025), systematically exploring theoretical breakthroughs and industrial innovations in mechanical transmission. The content spans new transmission theories and modeling methods (e.g., digital twin-driven lifecycle design), smart materials (composites/polymers), green manufacturing technologies, and AI-integrated optimization strategies for transmission systems. The book focuses on addressing core challenges such as fatigue reliability, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) behavior, and energy efficiency improvement, while showcasing industrial applications of smart gears and bearings, predictive maintenance algorithms, and sustainable lubrication technologies.
The content uniquely integrates a "precision-green-intelligent" manufacturing paradigm, offering interdisciplinary solutions. For example, it demonstrates closed-loop optimization of transmission systems from design to testing via digital twin technology and enhances the reliability of industrial robots and wind turbines through AI-driven fault diagnosis. Bridging academia and industry, this book supports the development of efficient, low-noise, and low-carbon next-generation transmission systems for aerospace, new energy vehicles, marine equipment, and beyond.

Info autore

Professor Shuxin Wang obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Hebei University of Technology in 1987; his Master of Engineering and Doctor of Engineering degrees from Tianjin University in 1990 and 1994. He has served as a senior visiting scholar at the Robotics Laboratory in Paris, France, a visiting scientist at King's College London in the United Kingdom, and a visiting scholar at the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan in the United States. He is currently the President of Chongqing University and the Director of the National Key Laboratory for Mechanical Transmission of High-End Equipment, and also serves as the Executive Director of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. He has long been engaged in the research of flexible mechanism systems and their engineering applications in marine, medical, and manufacturing equipment. He led the development of the "Micro Hand" minimally invasive surgical robot system, which received the first product registration certificate for an endoscopic surgical robot in China; he also led the development of the "Haiyan" series of underwater gliders, setting a world record for the deepest dive of 10,619 meters. He has been granted over 100 national invention patents, 3 US patents, and 1 European patent, and has published more than 100 academic papers. He has successively received two Second Prizes for National Technical Invention, one Second Prize for National Science and Technology Progress, and two First Prizes for National Teaching Achievement Awards, as well as the Leonardo da Vinci Award from the ASME DED in the United States. In 2021, he was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Professor Datong QIN received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D degrees from Chongqing University, China, in mechanical engineering in 1982, 1984 and 1993 respectively. He was a visiting scholar at Department of Precision Engineering, Tohoku University, Japan, from 1989 to 1991. He joined the State Key Laboratory on Mechanical Transmission (SKLMT) of China, at Chongqing University in 1991 and became an associate professor in 1992 and a full professor in 1995 respectively.  He was deputy director of the SKLMT of China from 1995 to 1997, and director from 1997 to 2008. In 2004 he was appointed by Ministry of Education of China as the “Changjiang-scholar Distinguished Professor”.
Professor Fei LIU received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2018. He was a visiting student at the department of mechanical and biological engineering in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He joined the State Key Laboratory on Mechanical Transmission (SKLMT) of China at Chongqing University in 2014. He became an associate professor in 2016 and a full professor in 2022. He has been the deputy director of the SKLMT of China since 2023.
