Dr. Hitesh Vasudev is a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Lovely
Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. He earned his Ph.D. degree in 2018
from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, India. His research areas
include surface engineering/thermal spraying; development of nanöstructured,
multi¿modal, high¿entropy alloy coatings for high temperature oxidation and corrosion
resistance; thermal barrier coatings (TBCs); and microwave processing of materials.
He has made numerous contributions to reputable journals on thermal spray
coatings. He won the Lovely Professional University's Research Excellence Award in
2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023. He has written more than 30 SCI indexed papers, over 10
Scopus indexed papers, 15 conference papers, five books, and 18 book chapters. He
has been granted a patent titled "High¿emperature Oxidation and Erosion Resistant
Alloy¿18/Al2O3 Composite Coatings."
Dr. Gurbhej Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical
Engineering at Amritsar Group of Colleges, Punjab, India. Dr. Singh earned his Ph.D
degree in Mechanical Engineering from CT University Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He
specializes in surface engineering with a focus on microwave claddings, processing
of materials using microwave energy, materials characterization, surface biomedical
implants, biomaterials processing, polymeric composites, and nanocomposites.
He has published more than 50 papers and has contributed to numerous conference
papers and book chapters. Dr. Singh is Guest Editor of many journals, and he has
organized several conferences.
Dr. Amit Bansal has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical
Engineering at I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, India, since 2017.
Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at Lovely Professional University, India,
from 2015 to 2017. He earned his M.Tech. (Production and Industrial Engineering)
and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India. He
worked as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) during his Ph.D. program at IIT Roorkee in
a project sponsored by the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Mumbai.
His research areas include microwave processing of materials (joining, cladding,
casting, and sintering) and surface engineering performed using thermal spray technology,
plasma spray, and flame spray. He has authored more than 50 research publications
in various international journals, books, and conferences
of repute. He has
guided many masters and Ph.D. students in thermal spraying, advanced manufacturing,
and microwave processing of materials.
