Michele Della Ventura is a Professor of Music Technology at the Music Academy 'Studio Musica', Italy. He is also a learning expert, researcher and instructional designer. His research interests include the correlation between music and mathematics (with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence research in the field of computer-aided analysis of tonal music), intelligent systems, enhancing teaching and learning with technology, assessment for learning, and strategies and models for the effective integration of technology into the curriculum at all academic levels. He was invited as a keynote speaker to international conferences in Italy, Austria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States (Baltimora, Boston, Las Vegas, New York, Washington). He is involved in several research projects related to technology supported learning for dyslexic students, learning through the use of social media and handheld technologies in a CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) classroom, and technology supported students' music analysis and composition. He also teaches Music Informatics in university courses at music academies and conservatories, and Musical Technologies in music high schools.
Dr. Zehui Zhan is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Youth Pearl River Scholar, Hong Kong Scholar, and the Principal Investigator of the smart educational equipment industry-university research cooperation base in China. Her Doctoral dissertation is about blended learning, which was nominated as one of the national 100 excellent doctoral dissertations in China. She has published more than 70 papers and six monographs in the field of educational technology, and received other honors such as the Award of Youth Excellent University Teacher from the Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation and the Ministry of Education of China, the title of Best Teachers Achieving Highest Teaching Quality, and the first prize in the National Education Software Competition.
