Dr. Mohsin Khurshid holds the position of Associate Professor at Institute of Microbiology, Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan. His academic journey also includes roles as a faculty member at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Antibiotics, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. His research is primarily dedicated to three key areas: microbial biotechnology, antimicrobial resistance, and gut microbiota. Over the years, Dr. Khurshid has made significant contributions to the field, boasting a portfolio of more than 160 published articles in esteemed scientific journals, collectively carrying an impressive impact factor of approximately 450. Additionally, he has authored over 28 book chapters featured in publications by renowned publishers such as Elsevier and Springer. Dr. Muhammad Aamer Mehmood is a Professor and Group Leader of the BioEcoTech Research Cluster at the Department of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan. He is also a Founding Executive Board Member and the Secretary-General of the Asian Federation of Biotechnology, Pakistan Chapter. His research team is dedicated to optimizing processes for the sustainable utilization of bio-resources, including wastewater recycling, resource recovery, and the biotransformation of biomass into bioproducts such as biofertilizers, industrial enzymes, biopolymers, and functional foods. They achieve this by using microalgae, cyanobacteria, and fungi as microbial cell factories within a multiproduct biorefinery framework.
Dr. Muhammad Kashif is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and researcher at Emerson University Multan, Pakistan. He obtained his MSc in Chemistry from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, followed by an MPhil in Chemistry with distinction from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He subsequently completed his PhD in Pharmaceutical Drug Designing with distinction (Mención Honorífica) under the supervision of Prof. Dr Gildardo Rivera Sánchez at the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, CBG, IPN, Mexico. One of his notable achievements is a patent registered in Mexico which stems directly from his PhD work. His research interests encompass drug design, environmental chemistry, biochemistry, enzyme inhibition, medicinal chemistry, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics. Dr. Kashif has received several accolades, including the Best Student Award, Best Thesis Award, and second position for Best Drug Design at the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology (EFMC). Dr. Kashif has authored or co-authored approximately 25 research articles in peer-reviewed journals. His ongoing research is dedicated to advancing medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry, with a particular focus on computational drug design and the biochemical study of therapeutically important enzymes.
