In a world where nostalgia for the past and fear of the future paralyze us, Fernando de Haro presents a luminous dialogue on the most persistent of human virtues: hope. A novel vision that transcends both cultural pessimism and naive optimism: living without fear does not mean having all the answers, but discovering that every challenge, every doubt, even every failure, can be an opportunity for deeper discovery. The beauty of art, wonder at nature, the mystery of human relationships, and everyday experience become the terrain where the great adventure of living in our time with a hope that does not disappoint is played out. Through conversations between Juana--a woman trapped in the idealization of times that never existed--and the friends who help her rediscover the present, this book explores the foundations of our civilization and the questions that define our era: What does progress mean in times of uncertainty? How do we find meaning when the old pillars seem to be shaking? With prose that intertwines philosophy, history, and everyday experiences, De Haro constructs a unique book where the voices of the characters become channels for our own reflection. Each chapter brings us closer to a fundamental truth: hope is not nourished by the future but by the present; it does not flourish in certainty but in the encounter with the other. A work that invites us to think, feel, and live with the intensity of those who have discovered that, even when we don't want to wait, we continue to wait.
