Dr. Karin Sagner hat Kunstgeschichte und Neuere Deutsche Literaturwissenschaft in München und Paris studiert und 1985 über die Seerosenbilder von Claude Monet promoviert. Heute lebt und arbeitet sie als freie Autorin und Kuratorin in München. Ihre Ausstellungen u.a. zu Monet und die Moderne (2002 München) oder Die Eroberung der Straße. Von Monet bis Grosz (2006 Frankfurt) waren erfolgreiche Höhepunkte im Ausstellungswesen. Im Belser Verlag sind von ihr in der Reihe Wie erkenne ich Kunst? Die Kunst der Gotik und Die Kunst des Jugendstil erschienen.
