Blood transfusion is a therapeutic procedure not devoid of risk. Blood and blood components for transfusion come mainly from donations made by altruistic individuals. Blood transfusion is a potentially dangerous act in which incidents and accidents are rare but can be fatal.Objective: To study post-transfusion incidents and accidents in patients who have received labile blood products. Methodology: Our study was prospective and descriptive and concerned post-transfusion incidents and accidents at Mali Hospital during the period from December 2022 to June 2023, i.e. 8 months. During this study period we recorded 374 patients transfused out of 604 bags.Results: Our sample was predominantly female (52%), with a sex ratio of 1.08. Young people were the most numerous. Young people were the most numerous, and the 20 - 39 age group was the most represented, with a frequency of 26.99%. Among departments, internal medicine prescribed the most (24.2%), followed by emergency (18.9%).
