We currently live in the age of information, communication, and technology, which keeps society in constant transformation, especially in education and people's behavior, directly or indirectly influencing the construction of personal or collective identity. Considering that education occurs both in the family and at school, it is possible to observe more clearly the influence of these elements through the way children behave in different environments. However, to understand the student-school relationship, we follow Perrenoud's (1994) perspective, thinking that school represents a place of many socializations, and that the development of student identity also develops in this context. By identity, we consider Dubar's (1995) perspective, which sees it as a process under constant construction. Establishing a relationship between media and identity, this study aimed to investigate the influence of media on the construction of student identity, based on physical education classes, when students have greater opportunity for bodily expression.
