Pool Malebo (formerly Stanley Pool, sometimes Malebo Pool, Lac Ngobila, Mpumbu, Lac Nkuna or Lac Nkunda) is a lake formed on the lower reaches of the Congo River, 35 kilometers long and 23 kilometers wide. It has a total surface area of around 500 km2. Its average altitude is 272 meters. Its depth varies from three to sixteen meters. At its center is Bamou Island.
